  1. I think it would have to be the fact that teens cannot turn to their parents for things. There is parental trust issues. It leads to resolvable issues that could be avoided if they were only addressed.

  2. Lack of direction and increased external stressors.

  3. Bullying, or teasing as it was called in my day, is a serious problem with teens and kids of all ages these days.

  4. The pressure to manage it all & manage it well. They have to maintain good grades, chores, parental expectations, a healthy social life, & peer expectations. It's a lot.

  5. The same issues teens have always face in the world. Bullying, acceptance, self discovery. Human behavior doesn't really change no matter how much people what it too.

  6. I think a lot of teens are left to their own devices, and parents are not around for them. They are not getting the guidance they need. At an age when they need a parent's influence more than ever, they are turning to friends. Parents need to regain parental influence.

  7. I think the biggest thing I have seen is bullying and especially how the schools are dealing with it.

  8. I know teens of the 60s and 70s faced many of the same issues but now it is even more widespread and EXPECTED by peers. The teens sho try to live higher moral and Christlike lives are ridiculed by peers. Everything sexual and unlimited use of filthy language is forced on them from friends, media -including music, and even by a large amount of adults.

  11. Bullying and body image.
I love Spring. it's when the cold and ice of winter melts away and flowers begin to bloom. The grass becomes green again. The birds chirp in the trees. And the weather warms, which is probably the very best part! So far, I have experienced many April showers. I can't wait for their inevitable consequence: flowers!
Thanks for the giveaway and Happy Spring!

  12. Bullying. My fifteen year old daughter has been bullied this entire school year by a boy who is obsessed with her. He was sent to jail and had trial but apparently only got probation. She has tried to overdose twice and wants to be home-schooled next year. He is just a messed up kid whose parents dumped him with his grandmother. He hates himself and has found someone to take his pain and anger out on. It's a vicious circle. parents are really not stepping up anymore to take responsibility for their children.

  16. There are too many, especially bullying, drugs and body image. Parents need to pay closer attention to their daughters and sons, they need to know who they hang up with because sometimes friends aren't truly friends, bad influence.

  17. Growing up too fast and being over exposed to sexual innuendos and content.

  21. Bullying and the way people are portrayed in the media. It's impossible to look like them because they're photoshopped, but everyone still tries to!

  22. I am a teen and I'm not even sure...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh, I don't know. The portrayal of violence as something normal. The media who are supplying them with a goal: how too look and act to be successful. And that usually means: a criminal, a scantly dressed starlet or a shady businessman.
