Forgotten Promise

You have all been asking. WHEN is the fourth Between Worlds book coming out? When can we read more about Rylie and Kallan? Will Sierra get her memory back? What happens next? And the day is almost here!

FRIDAY!!

That's right. Friday, May 15th, Forgotten Promise (Between Worlds: Book Four) will be available on almost all outlets. Print usually takes longer, but it's all processing.

And as always, I will host a little giveaway on my Facebook for the release. So make sure you come and check it out.

A huge beg...REVIEWS and word of mouth are crucial to authors. If you read a book and you love it, tell others by leaving reviews and by spreading the word. Tell your friends. Tell a Facebook group. Tell readers on a blog or chat room. Tell people!!! Any author out there will appreciate it. You never know, you might tell someone who is friends or family of a movie producer or agent. Then you could be personally responsible for getting the book on the big screen! Wouldn't that be awesome?!

So tell people... Tweet about, Instagram in, even Pin it. Get the word out there. We notice!

Just, Girl Project

About a week ago, I was contacted by someone who thought I might be interested in this project. At first, I thought "Oh great, another somebody wanting money." And that'd be fine if I had the money to give, but I don't. However, curiosity got to me and I checked out the link.

What I found hit home. Here was the young lady who wanted to raise money to get her message out there to teenagers and girls by reaching them through music. Huh. I pushed play on the button and watched the little movie. I was moved. I wanted to know more. So I read the page and realized I wanted to be a part of this.

Ilana empowers and inspires girls through her music. Reach back and remember when you were eleven, thirteen, fifteen. Remember feeling different? Ugly? Not good enough? Maybe you were one of the lucky ones who never thought that about yourself and that's awesome. Instead, maybe you have a friend or sister who did. Or maybe you did have one or two of those feelings. Ilana's music reaches out to these girls.

In her song Neon Fire, she tells girls never to give up on their dreams. In another song, My Body, Ilana sings about loving your body. And in Just, No, she encourages girls to speak up for themselves.

Positive messages are exactly what our teens need these days!

Some of my books have deep, even dark messages. I write about addictions, abuse, violence, ADHD, foster care, illness that could kill my characters. These songs are the kind of songs my characters need to hear.

I try to reach out to others with my stories just as Ilana does with her music.

So this project hit home. And I jumped on the chance to be a part of it. So many times I said "I wish I could donate" or "I wish I could help". I got annoyed at myself for thinking that and decided it was time to do something about it. So I donated and started to help spread the word. I hope that some of you will be moved by what Ilana has to say or her lyrics and help her make her dream a reality.

Stop talking about doing something and do it :)
